The short version
This site does not use cookies, does not run analytics or advertising scripts, and does not ask for an account. Everything you type into a converter or the recipe scaler is processed in your browser and is never sent to us.
What stays in your browser
- Converter inputs. The ingredient, amount and units you choose are calculated locally with JavaScript. The page address updates with those choices so you can bookmark or share the link. Anyone you send the link to will see the same setup, so avoid putting private text in it.
- Recipe scaler text. The recipe you paste stays in the page. It is not stored or uploaded, and it disappears when you close or reload the tab.
- Copy buttons. The copy buttons place text on your clipboard when you press them, and nothing else.
What the hosting provider may see
Like any website, our hosting provider receives the technical details needed to deliver a page: your IP address, the page requested, and your browser type. Providers commonly keep such logs for security and operations. This site does not combine them with any other data and has no way to identify you from them.
External requests
Pages load everything from this site. There are no external fonts, scripts, images or trackers. Links to King Arthur Baking and USDA FoodData Central lead to those organizations’ own websites, which have their own policies.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new review date. It was last reviewed on 21 October 2026.
